On Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th, 2014, the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center at Fordham University School of Law hosted the fourth annual Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Two competitors from each of the participating schools were tasked with preparing both the prosecution and defense case for United States of America v. Rishi Ramnarain. Student competitors had fifteen minutes prior to trial to prepare witnesses (played by Fordham students) to testify. The judging panels consisted of sitting and former judges, assistant United States attorneys, assistant district attorneys, and practicing trial attorneys. Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. presided over the final round.
