Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition

The Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition is hosted by Fordham University School of Law. This year the competition will take place from Saturday, October 25 to Sunday, October 26, 2014 in the Southern District of New York.

Teams consist of two students who prepare both sides of a federal problem. The competition will consist of two preliminary rounds (teams will compete on one side of the case in the first round and on the other side of the case in the second round), a semi-final round, and a final round. There are no quarterfinals.

The application consists of this form and a competition resume listing competitions and results from the past five years. This application should be sent to kellycompetition@gmail.com by July 4, 2014. Sixteen teams will be accepted and all teams will be promptly notified about the status of their application. A registration fee of $600 will be due upon acceptance of an offer to participate in the competition.
